We are maturing and we have a mission. God hates relational breakups because it destroys what he's been trying to make since the beginning of time. That's why God tells us to go and make things right before you take communion. Words like reconciliation, compassion and grace are meant to be spread on those that are part of our broken oikos. We are made to interact with the unlovely, the hard-headed and the lost. When we transfix the lens of judgment we will see that we too have possesed all of those qualities at one point or another. We are made to grow those that are just like us. We are all at different stages in the "hard to love" spectrum. We are maturing Christians for this very fact, because we are on a constant path of sanctification. We must keep trying to restore, relate and reneweven when it's hurts and we want to give up. In order to have restoration we must have dual desires in both hearts. Change can't come from singular desires, although change can spur from singular efforts. It's our job as the body and children of heaven to be relational. That's what God intended. HDC focuses more on building relationships than any other theme because that's our mission. "fishers of men"
It's not just a catchy saying but we must make a commitment to drop our nets (whatever's bogging/consuming/weighting our hearts, time and minds down) and pick up our eyes and hearts to the people of the world and help "the lost get found"
God made us with different interests, and God equipped us all with different talents to reach unity in faith.
Ephesians 4:11-13
Lets do it!!!
