(Review) Part II: PRAY UNTIL THE PEACE COMES

Part III: HOPE
"May your unfailing love be with us Lord, even as we put our hope in you" Psalm 33:22
"Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days." Psalm 90:14
"put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption." Psalm 130:7
"Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love." Psalm 48:9
hope: a person or thing in which your expectations are centered.
-hope= ladder/ what you're leaning on.
Going to answer the question: HOW/WHY to maintain hope in a seemingly hopeless world.
-We go through life depending/ relying on the happiness/ results of things of this world whether it be relationships, school, friends, body image whatever it may be. Many times we don't realize until it's too late. Here's what I mean. We live completely unaware that we're leaning on our ladder; therefore, we go through life living until we feel hopeless... until what we placed our hope (ladder) on fails us... and it will.
-Paul instructed Timothy to tell even the exceedingly wealthy people not to put their hope in wealth but in the Lord. "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment." 1 Timothy 6:17
Now we're going to go through the passage Romans 8:20-39
The Bible views sin as a substance that is toxic and fatal; it is a disease that infaltrated the entire creation.
fatal= everything that's living dies. Everything is failing/ dying right now: my relationships, my life... everything! At the end of the day we are all in bondage to decay. "For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God." (v. 20-21)
bondage= slavery/servitude; the state of being bound by or subject to some external power or control.
There is good news, but Before we can get to the good news. We have to embrace the bad news: You can't beat the odds.
v. 24 hope=unseen. Who hopes for what they already have and know.
v. 25 we do not hope for what we have but what is NOTW (not of this world) and we wait patiently
v. 26 his spirit prays for us in words that we can't express "the spirit intercedes for us with groans that words can't express"
v. 31 If God is for us who can be against us?
v. 38-39 the big finish: Although we are constantly being fed to the wolves we are conquers with Jesus. Every battle we face is conquerable with the Lord. And not death, nor fear, nor anything in this life can separate us from God. That in itself should give us enough hope to make it through any storm.
*If you want hope that remains hopeful then you need to lean your ladder against the Heavenly Father*
Love/Forgive/Serve/Hope like crazy, and when it doesn't do it back don't get discouraged (lose hope). Because our hope wasn't there to begin with in the first place.
Application: When I loosen our grip from our plans, they loosen their grip from my heart. Then and only then can I move my ladder.
